The Mineral Technology Centre - CETEM, in partnership with the Coordination of Technical Support for Micro and Small Enterprises - CATE and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation - MCTI, has formulated a glossary aimed at the research, mining and processing of ornamental stones. The dictionary can be consulted in four different languages: Portuguese, Spanish, English and Italian.

The Geosciences Directorate of the IBGE, through its Natural Resources and Environmental Studies Department, presents its users with a geological and geomorphological glossary.

The mining engineering department of Hacettepe University, one of the main state universities in Ankara, Turkey, presents a glossary of Mining, Minerals and Related Terms, available in English.
Various experts in mining and mineralogy contributed their knowledge to this work. In all, more than 100 collaborators were involved in the technical revision, production and publication.
